March Into Spring
Step Challenge
Join us during March to take STEPS to be more ACTIVE and improve your daily step count with this challenge! We all love a bit of healthy competition to keep us motivated and by joining the challenge all you need to commit to is being more active everyday and logging your step count at the end of the week (photographic evidence encouraged!)
The aim of the challenge is to make YOU more ACTIVE and below is a daily step count guide to help you get started.
6,000 - 8,000 steps per day - if you are currently getting below 5,000 steps per day, are typically sitting for long periods of the day, have an injury or medical condition (always consult a medical professional before commencing new physical activity), and are taking your first steps to move more.
8,000 - 10,000 steps per day - if you are currently getting between 5,000 - 6,000 steps per day, have a sedentary job, suffer from lazyitis!!
10,000 - 12,000 + steps per day - if you are already super active, have an active job, and want to be fan-dabi-dozi!!
The challenge runs from Wednesday 1st March - Friday 31st March, use your smart watch or phone to track your daily step count and post a screenshot photo in the March Into Spring Facebook Group every Sunday evening or Monday morning for the previous week. If you are not a social media user then your weekly steps can be sent via WhatsApp.
Of course there will be spot prizes (of the healthy variety!!) for maximum effort and not just focused on who is the best!! We're all very different and the best way to compete is against yourself with group encouragement and support from others!
