Specialist Personal Training

Accessible Studio

 Adapted For You

Having a neurological condition can make exercise feel difficult, intimidating or simply inaccessible.

As a Level 4 Neurological Conditions Personal Trainer I provide specialist personal training, creating personalised exercise sessions around your  goals and individual needs.

With over 20 years of experience working with clients with neurological conditions, I understand that everybody is different. My approach is supportive, adaptable and focused on helping you move more confidently and get the most from your body.

I have extensive experience supporting clients living with neurological conditions including:

Multiple Sclerosis (MS)

Stroke

Parkinson's disease

Acquired Brain Injury (ABI)

Functional Neurological Disorder (FND)

Cerebral Palsy (CP)

Whether you're looking to improve strength, mobility, balance, coordination, fitness or confidence, sessions are adapted specifically for you.

Exercise tailored to your needs

There is no one-size-fits-all approach to neurological conditions.

I take the time to understand how your condition affects you and adapt exercises accordingly. This might include modifying movements, changing the equipment used, adjusting intensity, providing additional support or finding alternative ways for you to achieve the same exercise goal.

A Fully Accessible Training Studio

My studio has been designed with accessibility in mind, helping you feel comfortable and supported from the moment you arrive.

Facilities and equipment include:

Accessible studio

Adaptive fitness equipment

Active Hands gripping devices

Hoist & Changing table (available on request)

Exercise equipment that can be adapted to suit different abilities and levels of mobility

I understand that accessibility is about much more than simply getting through the door. The aim is to provide an environment where you can exercise safely, comfortably and with dignity.

What Can We Work On?

Depending on your individual needs and goals, sessions can focus on areas such as:

Strength & conditioning
Build and maintain strength to support everyday movement and independence.

Balance & coordination
Work on control, stability and confidence with movement.

Mobility & movement
Explore ways to improve movement and make everyday activities easier.

Fitness & endurance
Build cardiovascular fitness in a way that's appropriate for you.

Functional exercise
Use movements and exercises that relate to the activities that matter to you.

Confidence & independence
Develop confidence in what your body can do and celebrate progress along the way.

A Personal Approach

I know that neurological conditions can vary enormously from person to person - and even from one day to the next.

That's why your training isn't based on a generic programme.

Your session is adapted around you.

We can work with your current abilities, fatigue levels, mobility, balance, strength and other factors that may affect how you exercise on the day.

Ready to find out what's possible?

If you would like to explore how specialist personal training could work for you, get in touch to arrange a conversation or initial session.

Please note: Personal training is not a replacement for medical or rehabilitation care. Where appropriate, I can work alongside advice and recommendations from your healthcare or rehabilitation/physio professionals.

“Before I started training with Pauline I never went to the gym because they weren't very well adapted for wheelchair users. All the sessions are adapted to my needs as I am a full-time wheelchair user, so I need to work on my upper body strength. The sessions are challenging but I always feel brilliant afterwards and I am now stronger.”
